My name is Nahla, and I am a 25-year-old nurse from northern Gaza.
Our lives were shattered on May 17, 2025, when a missile struck our home in Jabalia camp. The bombing took my two beloved brothers, Fadi and Ramadan. They each left behind four young children.
My brothers’ wives were also injured and are unable to care for their kids, leaving me to become a mother figure to 11 children. We are a family of 20 now, sheltering in a small, torn tent with no protection from the scorching heat or the cold nights.
We have lost everything: our home, our safety, and our livelihood. I am the only one able to work and am now responsible for providing for my entire family’s most basic needs. My elderly father can no longer work, and there are no jobs to be found in the midst of this war.
We are holding on for the children, but we cannot do it without you. Your donation will help me provide food, water, medicine, and warm clothes for these 11 kids who have already endured so much loss.
